I recently updated this site with a new template. I am not convinced I like it any more than any of the other templates I have tried. However, lacking extensive HTML skills, templates will have to suffice. Fortunately, the WordPress publishing platform provides an exceptional and stable way for anyone to display their words and media within a professional look and feel.
For those of you using WordPress, I would suggest that you also get yourself a copy of the WPtouch plugin from the folks at Brave New Code. That allows those of us viewing your site with mobile devices to view a speed and display-optimized version of your blog. Just install it, activate it, and tweak some very simple settings.

Each of the remote blogging tools I have tested has merit. Each, however, has their unique capabilities and problems. It appears each will remain on my device and will be used depending upon the requirement of the particular post.

This is a test post being written from my handheld device. I am looking for a way to publish while traveling – including the addition of some lower-resolution photos. My goal is to blog some quick snaps and then post my processed images from my DSLR when I can get to my computer.
So, expect nothing from this post other than some measure of insight to what is likely to come.

The latest version is here! I upgraded http://Steven.Tryon.com and immediately saw an improvement in speed for both the public and admin sides of the site! That is good news (for everyone). There is much more testing yet to do, but so far all looks well.
If you are one of my customers, expect the new version to be installed on your sites soon.

I revamped the site tonight with a new theme and new graphical headers. Headers randomly rotate when the page loads and are all pictures that I took on travels around the country. I’ve also trimmed back some of the miscellaneous stuff along the sides of the page to improve page loading times. I hope you enjoy the changes!
